Has anyone purchased a full exhaust for the 06 450er sevaral of the manufacters say they have one, but i have tried some and they do not fit, ended up sending them back, for the 06 honda did make some changes, thats why the 04 - 05 models do not fit, any help would be appreciated.

 

well this weekend I sew two '06s with full sparks systems. I'm still waiting for myself to make a decision on what brand to go with. From word, curtis sparks still makes the most power but I've always ran white bros stuff. Since the 06 engine is completely different from the 04-05, I'm sure there are slight differences in fit.

 

I have talked with a couple of people that sell Sparks exhaust and they said that Sparks hasn't designed one for the 06 e-start yet.?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Thanks guys I called Sparks today and they do have one for the 06 450er I think that is the way to go 459.00 for the complete system.

 

Hey! I am just new to this site, but i like it. Nice bike nuckinfuts, I live in Canada and i am waiting for my Black 2006 TRX450. You guys got them a little before we did. How is the bike? Does it compare to the '05? And i like those flames you put on the front.

 

Well thanks, you know I can't really tell you much but I know right out of the crate, I was really impressed with the performance. It rides pretty stiff but it's all adjustable. The only two 450s I can compare them too are my friends '04 450r with the HRC cam and sparks pipe but it is what you call a factory freak cause hardly anything can touch it. He was finally beat last weekend at the dunes by another but it took a slightly bigger bore, port and polished heads and another couple grand in mods. I however could out run a piped '05 with a skinny kid riding. I haven't done anything to mine yet but when I get the HRC kit and pipe, I will definatly update.

I assume you do not have the HRC Kit installed.
If you are going to spend $500, I strongly suggest you start with the HRC Kit. You can probably talk them down to $500 installed. Or buy it for $360 or less and do it yourself, if you are a decent mechanic. You get a new header pipe and they open up the stock silencer.

The HRC Kit will give you much more boost than the exhaust system.

I ride sand. I have raced a stock 450R, a stock YFZ, a Piped YFZ, a piped Predator, and a Banshee with Toomeys. Beat them all handily.

 

Morewood, your right really small world, Iwas going to go with the Sparks exhaust, haven't decided on which cam to put in, still researching all the different specs, and the pro flow design intake system.Thought about the HRC kit but thought I might get a little more out of it going the other route, could be wrong, any input would be helpful, Thanks
