Shortend Silencer

Default Shortend Silencer

I dont have school tommorow b/c of the 10 inches of snow we are getting. I am gonna have nothing to do and I am thinkin of shorting my silencer about 2 1/2 inches. Would there be any performance increses?

if anything it would hurt performance and it probly woulden't look good. I wish we were geting that much snow right now.

i cut like half of my tri-z muffler off and i love the way it sound and looks and from what i understand about a hole in my piston is that i had a 490 jet in it and it was LEAN!!?? well the pipe and porting must have helped i would cut it if i were u (i did)

Nope the tri-z have small carbs and it had a 490 in it im guessin they used a really small carb and a really big jet, had a maybe its 390 but i know its one or the other

No real performance increase.Some say you get a little more pep on the bottom end.I cut two inches off of my sons powercore silencer on his blaster,its definately sounds better . It is hard to say about the power increase because I cut it while I was having the cylinder ported so naturally when he test rode, it had a noticable increase in power.
