dumb question, but what is the chrome allen bolt on the side of the engine for. I have a 2000 Foreman ES. It is right above the foot break.

if its on the side near the pull start, it is a cover for the timing marks on the flywheel that is used to mark TDC when doing valves and other stuff

yes, littlebill is right, it's not really a bolt, it's a plug with an o-ring. you take it out and look in there for when you need to line up timing marks and stuff.
