800 Owners, Advice Needed
#1
Well, I decided to take the plunge. My new Outy 800 will be ready to pick up in a couple of days and I am seeking advice from you "Been there/Done that" ers, particularly regarding any weak points on my new machine. I ride with a punch of maniacs whom mostly all have modded out Prairies. We usually ride on fast, heavily rutted access roads and trails in the mountains of WV. Lots of trees to jump over and occasionally big rocks which cannot be avoided. The bottom of my Prairie has had the crap beat out of it and even with the additional ground clearance on the Bomb, I was wondering if an bottom armour would be recommended. Also, regarding high speed cornering, has anyone seen the need to beef up the suspension. (Note: I'm having the dealer install ATR tires on the new machine which was probably the single biggest change that I ever made on my Kawi.)

i feel like my suspension is soft in front, but i am comparing it to my normal ride of the ds
when doing wheelies it feels mushy...eveything else so far has been good..its only been a few rides so far but no complaints
i am curious to see how bad your stock outy 800 eats those prairies or not..keep us posted
oh ya reverse wheelies are a crowd pleaser..goodluck
