I might be wrong, but I don't think any of them do. You would need a new CDI to get a higher rev limit.

Does the Raptor 700 use a CDI box since it is EFI?

The Dynojet, Dobeck and Trinity do not. I am not sure about the Vortex though, id have to read up on that.

There is no CDI on a 700, it uses a micro bit processor.

What is a micro bit processor? Could you go buy one to increase the rev limit? If so what would the costs be?

I don't have a 700 but from what I've heard, extra rpms won't do anything for you because the power drops off after about 6-7k. Apparently it is a torq monster though. The dyno's I've seen with a pipe, no airbox lid, an EFI controller (dobeck I think) put it at something like 48+ hp and 44 torq. Apparently it isn't designed to rev real high, but with the torq you just shift sooner so it isn't designed to be ridden like the yfz. Look for AIR or TRXOUTLAW on this forum and pm them. They have done the above mentioned mods and I think might have the dyno numbers and could give you some first-hand opinions.

According to some threads I have been reading Part of the problem right now is that the 700 has a speed sensor in the transmission that monitors 4th and 5th gear. It is the reason you see the final dyno numbers falling off so hard at 6-6.5k rpm. The sensor is not engaged from 1st through 3rd so it makes good power and torque down there. I have not seen anything yet on a way to bypass this.

Dyno runs are done in one gear from start to finish, and the vast majority of people use third gear on the raptor. Dropoff probably has more to do with cam than anything else, but if what you say is true the power drop off certainly isnt from that sensor.

seem to see a lot of runs done in 4th gear but not really a big deal. /shrug

check this out
Like every machine out there they have a rev limiter built into the ECU to prevent engine damage.
The 700 DOES have a speed sensor, it has 7 sensors in all:
*Water temp.
*Crankshaft position.
*Speed sensor signal. P/N 1S3-83755-00-00 SENSOR, SPEED
*Intake air temp.
*Throttle position.
*Intake air pressure.
*Lean angle.
