Default Heim joints or ball joints, which is better and why?

I'm looking into purchasing some aftermarket control arms for my Raptor, and I'm noticing some use ball joints and others use heim joints. Which is better and why?

Heim joints are stronger and you can get more angle out of them, but they need to be cleaned often and extremly often if used in mud and water. Ball joints are maintence free but weeker and have less of a working angle.

So it depends on where you ride and what you do, for general riding and light duty racing go ball joints, but if you do alot of hardcore racing or alot of jumps where strength is a concern go heim joints. But to be truth full ball joints will be strong enough for everything but a crash, thats where the heim will be worth the extra cost. One wrong hit on a ball joint and it will bend or break way before a heim would.

War pretty much summed it up. Only things I can add are that its easier to adjust the alignment with heim joints, as they use a straight bolt, vs. the taper of the ball joint which would need to be seperated.
