hey guys, need your advice. i'm sellin my 350 honda rancher 4x4 es. i want to buy a new yamaha sport with the money i get for it. i've been looking at the blaster and the raptor 350. i like the 350 because of it's size so far. how does the baster compare to the 250ex. i rode one of those last weekend and it had bad top speed and horrible accerleration. i know the blaster runs around 55, but how is the acceleration? i also felt uncomfortable on the 250ex, i'm 6'1 and it felt little on me. i also sat on a raptor 660 and loved the feel of it, but i don't want something that powerful yet.

 

seeing as its a 2 stroke, the blaster has pretty good acceleration for its size. but for your size the blaster will feel like a power wheels.

 

if you can use a clutch and know how to shift and know hw to atleast ride the raptor 660 isnt that powerful if you know your limits.

 

I have an 05 raptor 350 and when it was stock it was smokin stock blasters with no problem. With just a few mods like a pipe, air filter, and jet kit, it really wakes up even more.
I still wish I had a 450 though, I just cant afford one right now and I couldn't pass up the deal I got on the 350.
If you have the money, go with the 450 or the 700. If not, the 350 is your next best choice.

 

checked with the yamaha place, the 350 is out of my price range. that 250ex acceleration is really bugging me. is the blaster alot quicker than the 250ex or about the same.

 

I learned to ride on a 250ex, it was a very fun quad to ride. Both the 250ex and the blaser aren't too fast though. I would try and find a good used raptor 350 if you are on a budget. Although the 350 is slow too if you compare it to the 450's.
I enjoi my 350 as of now but I would love a 450.
