hey whats up im kinda new to the atv scene but i just got a suzuki 400 2004 i believe. i was just wondering what you would suggest to give it some more go? I dont know what the previous owner put on it, but i'm pretty sure it wasnt anything big. Thanks

First find out what, if anything the previous owner did to it. Then go from there[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] To get more bottom end power, go one tooth smaller on the front sprocket. This will take away from the top end, but you will notice it on the bottom end[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] and it only cost about $13 to do. Then, you can replace the air filter with an aftermarket, to get it to breathe better[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] and replace the exhaust. However, when you do the two previous items together, you will need to re jet the carb. All this can be done by yourself if you can follow a manual[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Do a search, I am sure you will find a few threads on this very subject[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I know one was floating around the last day or two about exhaust[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] with links to a shoot out on them.

 

Is this the Z400 sport bike, or do they make a 400 utility??? (Makes a big difference.)

 

its a sport bike i believe i know it has an exhaust system Exhaust Sytem ATV

 

It's got aftermarket exhauast alright, that's a Yoshimura pipe on there. Has anything else been done to it?
