Default Redcat VX80 and KMZ150 "Good or Bad?"

I just got 2 atv's, a Redcat 80 and 150. Is there anything i can do to make them last longer, run better or any type of maintenance I can do on them or upgrades i can do. I hear I can put a K/N filter on them to make them last longer. Any Help would be great..... Was this a good buy? I have 2 girls that will be riding them and not very hard riding...... Can someone help me with tips..... Thanks.

ok don't belive all the hype. parts for these are all over the net and ebay. go to redcatmotors.com or kazuma's web site and check the dealer locator and in most cases theres a dealer near you that can sell you parts and or fix them most of these dealer only charge 35 a hour or so and most can be fixed in a hour. lock tight all screws bolts grease it up good oil chain change oil all the regular stuff and you should have a good unit.

Thanks for the reply... I got these on 12-10-05 took to my brothers house to store, until Christmas. On 12-16 I brought them to my house and the 80 now makes a zinging sound when i try to start it. It's souds like the starter is turning put not inguaging the fly wheel....... After 1 or 2 trys it will start and runs great but this is not a good start out of the gate..... I'm going to call the dealer this morning and i hope he will do me right! I'll let you know.
Any Thoughts?

call rayan at redcatmotors.com they had some problems with that vx-80 starter. they were using shems but now they got the new bendixs in ok. this will help your 80cc and good luck bro .To replace the bendix gears remove the kick starter, and the side cover. Pull out the old bendix gear and slide in the new one. Replace side cover and kick starter. it sould be a free part if not it will be about $15.00 with shipping
