Default new 500 auto

Thanks for everyone reply . I just went & bought a new 500 auto 2006. I am looking foward to learning about my new 4 wheeler. This will be my first ac , first 4 wheeler. Should i be looking for anything , what would be a good breakin period ? Is there anything I should not do for a period of time?

For the first 100 miles don't go more then half throttle for more then 1-2 seconds, and don't let it idel for a long time. That is about it. Change the oil to synthetic at the 100 mark! GOod luck, it is a great machine!

No fight ,I am a big fan of synthetic oil, but I believe that you should wait until the AC has a few more miles of breakin on it, maybe 300 vs 100 then change to synthetic. Am I being too cautious?

I like more than the 100 miles recommended by AC, but I think that part of that is that the Dino oil it comes with is good for the first 100, so they tell you to change over then. I also like a few more than the 100 miles, but did change over at 100 and according to the Service Manager mine is one of the 2 stongest 400s he has ever ridden. So who knows for sure?
