Default Wave Brake Rotor

I was shopping around Dennis Kirk's web site and found they have a front and rear wave style brake rotor for the DS
Rear Rotor
Front Rotor

It seem that the wave design is beneficial in strength and heat dispersion. I am more curious if anyone has looked into the weight savings if any over a traditional rotor. I know the true drag guys don't even have front brakes, but they still have rear brakes.
