fuel leaking?????????
#1
Alright guys I need some insight on what is going on and how to correct the problem.
My quad is leaking fuel out of the overflow (?) or drain tube.
It even happens when I turn the petcock on the tank off. It'll keep draining till the bowl is dry.
I checked the drain screw to make sure that it was tight.
It's almost like my floats are stuck or somthing. Does anyone have any ideas on how to check my float level?
Thanks

go through and clean the needle and seat and the carb really well blow everything out and put it back together and it should quit my friend just had a similar problem he had crud on his needle and it was allowing it to put WAY to much fuel in and we plugged the bottom and it wouldn't run take the spark plug out cuz we thought we fouled it and we usually crank it over w/out the plug in to clean out the cylinder and it shot gas about 10 ft in the air

Go ahead and pull it out and give it a good cleaning. Pull the bowl screws and take off the bowl. Flip the carb upside down and look at the float. It should be level with the edge of the case where the bowl mounts up. I think the measurement is 10 mm but not sure. I always just eyeballed it. Thats what the problem sounds like to me

Do what everyone said as far as cleaning out your needle and seat and adjusting them If this does not solve your problem replace the needle and seat it could be pitted or just worn out.
