Default Brand New Polaris EFI Overheating

Hey All,

I just purchaed a brand new 06 POlaris EFI ATV and just had a problem where it is overheating. It only has 5 miles on it but in low speeds like going in forrest and stuff it seems to overheat. The engine overheating light comes on and I shut off the engine, then engage the elctric to make the fan come off to cool it. It has only overheated when using it on 4 low mode but it did it once in high. I am not sure if there is a problem or this is common.

Thanks for your help,

Sascha

you said the fan works so it is either the thermostat is stuck closed no anti freeze or your water pump isn't working. i would ask in the polaris part of this forum to see if any of the other polaris guys had this problem.

ice5189......
Jump over to the Polaris forum and look up a thread titled Stop Delivery Of All Sportsman500EFI posted by mtpockets....There's a couple pages of information that you might be interested in.....I assume you're talking about the 2006 500 EFI?
