I posted this in the kids forum but didn't get any response. Maybe you guys can help. I'm gonna buy chest protectors for my kids (age 5 and 9). I'm looking at Thor, Acerbis, Fox, Shift, etc in catalogs. Are they all basically the same? Most are basically the same design. I noticed that Shift has the best price, but that's no good if it isn't a quality product. What are your experiences with chest protectors?

 

We have a Thor for my youngest, but really didn't see too much difference between the available brands. We got the Thor because it fit him the best - all were around the same price. I think it will be difficult to purchase on-line. We found that the different brands fit differently, even though they were made for about the same size kid. Even if you can get a better deal on-line, it's worth a trip to an ATV store to try some on to make sure.
