How come all these chest protectors are only in Adult and Youth? Do the manufactures think everyone weighs 150 lbs? That's bull*hit! I can't find one to fit my XXL chest.
I'm 250 and 6'3". My shoulders are Much wider than the norm - and I can't find anything to cover my shoulders. I seperated my shoulder (2nd degree) last week because I wasn't wearing any protection.
Can anyone reccomend a company that deals with the "big-boys"?

It's plastic with padding underneath (it can get hot during the summer). The plastic is not as rigid as a standard chest protector (so it's probably not quite as good protection there). The shoulder, back, and elbow protection is outstanding!! Chaparral stocks them. I only wear a standard protector in the dunes, where elbow and shoulder protection isn't as important.

Rotgut,
The Acerbis [pronounced Ah-chair-bees] Zoom 2 Plus is the only chest protector that has EVER fit me. [6'5" 245 52" chest]. NOTHING else has been close. There is a place called MR-X [800-536-6680] in Michigan that has them advertised in MXA for $114.95. I'm sure there are better prices to be found in the dirt bike mags. I got my last one at a vendor tent at Red Bud for $90. Another thing about Acerbis, it is top notch quality stuff. It's worth a little more than the rest. Happy shopping.
