Have a brand new Raptor 50. Used one time from the dealer. When I have the throttle wide open, the engine misses. Almost llike what a rev limiter sounds like. Is there something I can adjust before I take it back to the dealer??

Thanks

your 50 runs a cdi rev limiter on it. thats exactly what it doing plus your not really geting full throtle do to the fact that the carb slid is only opening have way thats a negative thing but theres hope check out raptor 80racing.com they ever thing you need to turn that fifty up to its full out put . i ended up doing every thing from cdi box, widing kit front and back, off set rims new tires, pipe ,jet kit, cut the slider so the carb will open up all the way plus a k and n air filter any ways check out the web site if you need any quations answered therea real helpful or hit me up later and safe riding

That is some good info. I bought my daughter a Raptor 50 and I want her to have a little more seat time before I bump her up to an 80. I didn't even know there was a web site out there for the Raptor 50 and 80.

well i'm not a hundred % sure on that but i know what ever the stock speed is you can allmost double it not 100% sure on that plus when cutting the throtle sldie in the carb dont forget to grind the cable connector in the thumb throtle unit so it will throw further allright happy riding
