Titan 589 / spacers for 2000 SP500
#1
I need a little advise. Last year I put some nice new Titan 589's on my 500's front rims and loved the traction they give but hadn't really payed a lot of attention to them till last weekend and noticed they were rubbing my tie rods pretty bad. I found both tires had lost enough air to let it deform and rub the tie rods and after inflated it brought them back out a bit but do you all think I should put some spacers in to keep the tires off the tie rods when tires are low ?

I put 3/8s washers behind my front tires on stock wheels, you can also turn the tie rods over, take them off the top and put them on the upside down. Be sure to re- align your machine after doing this ,the service manual tells how to align it. Im going to do it this way as soon as I get time.

Just picked up a set of 589s for Christmas w/ some 1.5" spacers (little over kill) on the front and not only does it look amazing it handles incrediblly well. I'm considering buying some 1" for the rear. With the 589s I noticed it doesn't power slide into corners anymore so the extra width help keeps me upright.
