Need a winch for the Kodiak. What is the best brand? I am looking at the Ramsey 2500 with the wireless remote but I am skeptical. Anyone have this? Should I stick with a trusty Warn? Anything you guys know would help.....

I went with the Warn 2.5 that Yamaha sells you for $69, if you buy the Quad new. Check with your dealer. The switches and all the wiring is 1st rate!

 

I don't know firsthand what the best brand is, but I'm going to be getting a Ramsey 3000# with wireless remote next week for mine. From other threads I've read from folks, the 3000# winches are supposed to be sealed better than the 2500# ones.

I don't know if 3K# is overkill or not, but I'd rather have more pulling power than I need, rather than get caught one time with not enough. Warn and Ramsey appear to have solid reviews and feedback for the most part.
