Default RCR Octane

Im going to put my RCR stage one kit in my Trailblazer tommorow, i just had a quick question. Iwas looking over the directions and it says i have to run 92 octane fuel with this pipe......is that really necessary????
Thanks

i would say you better run the higher octane, its most likely due to the higher perforcement pipe runs a little hotter and the higher octane burns cooler then low. is what ive always been told. just my 2 cents i could be wrong
