FOREMAN 500

You must be talking about the 2WD? I haven't found anything wrong with the stock spedometer, but then I have a 4x4.
If I wanted to add one to a 2WD, I'd probably just use a GPS. I have a handlebar mount for GPS on mine (Didn't want the built in GPS as I wouldn't be able to take the GPS with me when I take off on foot...).
I've had mine up to around 53 or so. That was on a rock road, at fairly high elevation, with a bag full of gear...

I purchased an 05 Foreman 500 before Xmas. I used my friends GPS and I hit 52 mph on a paved road with nothing but a few more mph to go. I was wondering the same re: adding a speedometer?? Since the 2WD does not come with any guages I would add at least a speedometer if possible. Does Honda have a stock speedometer that can be added?
I dohave another question if you or anyone else has an answer. My Foreman shifts pretty hard. Shifting from reverse to neutral is the most difficult. It is my understanding that they shift hard until broken in???

Mine was a bit stiff shifting in 1st and reverse the first time through the gears after a cold start.
It seems to have gotten better as it has broken in, and I also run the Honda synthetic (make sure to get the without-molly version).
If the idle is set too high, that will also cause difficult shifting, especially into and out of neutral.
