Default Transmission Question on 06 Rubicon

Got my brand new 06 Rubicon home this weekend and after about 3 hours or riding I noticed something strange about the transmisson. When I put it in drive, the shift lever will not move in place until I either rock the atv forward or barely touch the throttle. It has no problem going from N to R but when I want to go into drive I get the -- as the indication until I bump the throttle or rock forward. I hope this is just something that needs to be tweaked a little or broken in. Any suggestions or comments guys?????.

Default Transmission Question on 06 Rubicon

My '05 does the same thing, I don't see it as a problem. The bike goes forward although it doesn't show D, maybe I'm overlooking something?

I have a 2001 rubicon and it does the same thing.
