my 2001 honda recon doesnt even have the tires wore down yet and she is smokin, even at idle .. smells very rich, i thought the choke was stickin halfway or something, not the case. looks black to me with some on the exhaust. hasnt been submerged in anything, i would say "hardly driven" although it did get hot on me last year, the valves clattered a lil then i shut it down. seemed ok after that. any ideas?

 

hmm.. dont know about yours.. btu anyone responding know if its OK to have a little of black residue on your pipe?.. i dont see any smoking but just some little residue..

 

This is normal to have some. It is carbon from the engine. I don't think there is anything to worry about.
