Default another AWD question

I was up ridin in the snow on my 03 700 the other day and tried to spin around on the ice in 2 wheel drive,at slow speeds , every time the front wheels would engage. Only seems to do it at slow speeds, at 10 or 15 mph I could punch it and spin just the rear tires but even from a dead stop on ice the front was engaging. I just changed the fluid about 200 miles ago and used the front gear drive fluid like is recommended was not any metal on the magnet or any sign of wear in the front seems to be working fine otherwise any ideas?

The armature plate in the front end gets magnitezed and you have to take the front end all apart and replace the armature plate. Follow the wires up from the front end and you will find a plugin, unplug it and if it stll engages you will know its mechanical and not electrical.

sounds like you bent the armutre plates when you over tighten the nut, those plates are suppose to be completey flat, if they are bent when awd button is on it will engage the front wheels, you'll need to buy new plates and follow directions on install very carefully, that outside nut tightens in inch pounds not foot pounds, hope this helps .. wayout, out, " lifes good "
