what do you honda guys think about the 700r

I could own a 700 raptor. I am pro Honda, but that 700 is sweet. I have spent about a half hour or so on one. It is nice and smooth, very well balanced.
I won't guess if Honda is going to do a 700, or not.

I have a 450r and have ridden the 700r. I personally did not like it. After so much time on the 450r and 400ex the 700r felt too big to me. I like the light feeling of the Honda. The power was nice and even on the 700r but Ilike I said, I didn't like the feel of it.

yeah, i like it, never rode a sport quad though other than a 400ex for a day. If i were to buy one SOLELY on looks, i would get a raptor 660 or 700r, i think they just look awesome.

i mostly lean towards honda too, but i buy what i like, and if any OEM comes out with a top quality-built product, i will consider buying it. Ive owned hondas, yamahas, never had probs with any of them. Im thinking about getting a suzuki in my stable...
but you gotta give yamaha points here with the new 700. they took the time to totally redesign it -and put EFI on it. my freind has an 02 raptor, my cousin has an 03 and though they are torquey and get up there pretty good, i would not own the 660 version b/c i do not like the way they handle.(unless i picked one up for under market value, or if someone GAVE me one -id def jump on one of these scenerios).
i havent rode the 700 yet, but i would consider one for a future quad...they are pretty sweet. only drawback that i see is that it does weigh more than the 450R - and i like to ride light bikes for the most part. but, at least, i'll wait for a 2007 model to give yamaha a little time to revamp it some.

i'd like to see the EFI stand up to the test of time.

i think the efi will be fine as far as getting wet and all but they are REALLY sensitive to dust and sand. i think that will be the one and only downfall if any at all. the only reason yamahas get the rap of being unreliable is bc they design everything to be raced which means more maint. most people dont take care of their equipment as they should so the yamahas tend to breakdown more.
