Default Brute Force Wrecked due to Tie Rod.....

Well I tell ya what. I was on my way home from work yesterday and stoppped by a local shop and seen a new BF on the back of a truck smashed all to he!!. The guy had a black eye couple bruised ribs and some nasty bruses and cuts. I was like the the F$%^ happend. He said the BF recall. He was ridin about 30-40 mph on a trail next to a creek and the tie rod went and so did he and the BF. Over a embankment. That BF had the whole left side whiped. The racks were completly sideways. He said he just got his recall letter and this happend to him on Sat. I see a law suit in progress.......He said he is gettin a lawyer and sue the heck out of the dealer and Kawi. So PLEASE BECAREFUL!!!!

He's wasting his time and money trying to sue.

He got his notice, so technically, Kawi doesn't even have to fix his quad. After you receive your notice, they are not liable

Yeah if he got the notice before he wrecked it especially , then he's really screwed, shouldnt have been riding it! Hope he had insurance. I keep insurance on my suzuki vinson, "full coverage", in case of anything that happens, theft, accidents etc.

LOL

Riding after a recall on the steering components. That's like a skydiver going diving after a recall on his parachute.

Hey look, a butterfly...

If he got the recall notice and rode anyway then he's SOL. If I remember correctly they tell you explicitly in the letter to not operate your ATV until the warranty work is done. Given how long it has been since the recall was issued I'd bet he was just trying to get away with it and playing the odds and he got caught. If he got the letter and rode anyway I'd say he knowingly took the risk and lost. Nobody to blame but himself.

Yes '06 is fine. You can go to Kawi's website and type in your SN (or a particular year and model) and look at all of the recalls for that machine. Most do not have any but it's nice to have the information available.
