Black secondary clutch mod?
OK, I have just about talked myself into adding the black secondary clutch. but, where is the best place to purchase one, about how much are they, and will it have any premature failing effects to the rest of my clutch package? Also does it give a better bite on take off's?
Please explain the full benifits and downsides if any.
Thanks again, Madmuddin1

Black secondary clutch mod?
Black Spring from EPI about $30.00
Harder take offs, stays in lower longer before upshift. Works better with the big tires, saves belts.
Slower top speeds.
After 3000 miles with Black spring my front clutch was worn out because it holds the belt tighter. There were groves cut in shives of clutch. $440.00 for clutch.
EPI recomends replacing front and rear clutch springs yearly, even if quad sits idle.
the tension on springs causing them to weaken and loose specs.
good luck..............handycap
