How do I change the oil on a 05 Grizzly
#1
Have a friend that has his grizz over for it's first oil change but he has no service manual (it's on order but not here in time for the next ride0. I know on my yz450 bike that there are a few screws and a screen that was a little hard to find on the first change and I don't realy want to miss anything Thanks.

You will see the Yamaha Grizzly Service Manual.

ride it around for a bit. Park it. Take off the plastic belly skid plate. drain the oil. take off the oil filter. Replace oil filter. (put oil on the rubber gasket on the new oil filter) Insert oil pan bolt. Screw on belly skid plate. Fill with correct amount of oil. put engine shrouds back on.
start... run for about 2 min.... go for a ride...

Shouldnt there be a hole in the skit plate for the oil to drain through? I cant say this for sure, because I do not have a Grizzly, I have a Bruin. I would think they would all be about the same as far as that goes though. I very well could be wrong.

Thats funny, my 2002 Grizzly has a hole to get to the plug and let it drain.

Did you have aftermarket skidplates on it? If so, that might be why it didnt have a hole. The stock ones should though.
