Im seeing some good deals on ebay that seem to good. LIke rincons with low miles for around 2 grand. Are these really for sale because if they are i want to get one. How would i tell if it is a scammer. thanks

 

tell the buyer you will only pay in person when you take delivery. sucker born every minute.

 

I saw a couple of those on ebay recently also. The old saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it probable is" definetly applies here. I e-mailed a guy who had a black rincon w/ a buy it now price of $2400. He wrote back saying he moved to Germany, he couldn't register it over there, $2400 included shipping, blah, blah, blah. Guess what? The listing was removed as fast as I recieved the e-mail. If you have an item on your watch list, it will tell you what it sold for and if they bought it w/ buy it now, etc. On that particular rincon, the listing was simply removed altogether. Obviously a scam. Yesterday, someone had 2 Rincons, a 350 Rancher, and a Rubicon all listed for a buy it now price of $1899 each, all you had to do was e-mail him (not thru e-bay, no, you had to e-mail him to his personal e-mail) and the machine was yours. This guy first became a member yesterday and already had been listed as an unregistered user. Come to find out, people will try to get you to jump all over a great deal, send money or personal information for idenity theft. I work w/ a guy who has his own e-bay store and knows about some of the stunts people try to get away w/. He has some good stories. So just be careful about what your bidding on.

 

Thats funny, Becauuse i emailed sombody about a rincon and i never got a email back but not long after it wasnt on ebay anymore. haha

 

Another scam on a seller is: a buyer agrees to send you a bank check/money order for twice the amount you are asking. They say to ship them your quad, pay yourself from the cashed check, then mail them the money left over. The problem is that 20 days later you find out the check was bogus and you've lost: the quad, shipping costs, and the extra money you sent.
It is too bad we can't find these people and take them hunting with us [one way trip].
