Default grizzly or kodiak

My brother and I are looking at buying a fourwheeler. We have been thinking about a grizzly 660 or a kodiak 450. We will be hunting, trail riding and some work. We are both about 5'7" and 155, what should we get.

hey man hows it going? thought i would put my input on your disition. i think i need to know little more bout the two of you first.
1; are you 2 going in on 2 bikes or just one?
2; how old are the two of you/ do you live with your parents?
3; have you ever had a bike before or do you ride others all the time?
4; trail ride as in putt around your property and check the fence line/ or hit the trails with the guy dink some hit some hills(little of course) and put it in some mud.
5; are you thinking of upgradeing them and for what reasons are you upgradeing them ? tires / air / bore / ect..

both bike are golden but you may be perswaded to another bike after you answer the top 5 questions. i'll tell you more on the matter after you get back to me!

P.S. good call on looking at yamaha's line up

now y would i be jokeing ?

they are great questions. question one was to see if they are getting 2 bikes because he wasn't clear on it in the post~!! if he said one i would say then get the grizz!! hands down!! or i would let him know about the samller but money saving bruin 350 may be they don't need the big grizz and would rather get 2 bruins (but this would aplay to the oter question on what they are going to do with the bike!!!

question 2 if they live with there parents they my only need one bike for were they live, or maybe they would need 2 to get play and work dune. the age question would be ok,... one of the 2 are 19 hes going to be moving out soon who gets the bike ? ~

question 3 if the never had a bike before the bruin is the way to go ( but once agen maybe ) bucause i don't know what they want out of the bike!!! and if they have had a bike they may have some likes and disslikes we all could talk about !~

question4 my sence of trail riding is mud, trees , about steady spead 15 to 25 mph; unlike some of my friends that my argu they go trail riding hills, playful jumps on the way, and they like having 2ed & 3rd grear close to pinded 35-45mph..~

question 5 i don't know too much about the bores but if they want tires i would tell them about my tires and the price i got and then tell them about mayby getting bigger ones sence there bike my have low end *** (grizz) then i'll give them a link to the cheapest itp's i have ever found !

SO Bamaquad Weekend Warrior GET OFF ME !!!! bamaquad what kinda name is that, that you have to bam a quad, dose this mean you can't bam a girl?? pore fello let me give you some great websites of some realy nice quads that i comandly joke to friends and say they give me wood... but your case ??

thanks
Jr.

so help me out people reading, was i wrong for asking the questions or was i not ?
think if your friend was going to buy a new bike wouldn't you need to know all to help him diside!

also sence you aren't looking into my 5 questions.. between the 2 the kodiak & the grizz. the are almost the same one is bigger

kodiak ( L x W x H ) 78.5” x 43.0” x 44.1"// ground clear 10.8” /// Towing Capacity 1,102 Lbs.

Grizz ( L x W x H ) 82.1” x 45.3” x 47.6"// ground clear 11.8”/// Towing Capacity 1,212 Lbs.

the grizz is more money but i feel worth it.. resons why??? for less then 1,000 more you get "239cc more that's a lot"

one inch more ground clear stock more low end *** this is a must for deep soup mud.. so 660cc pluss low end *** 27"mudlights (with the deep lugs) + your stock say 12 inch = about 15inch give or take ground clear !!! nice to have in rutted mud holes........ if you want a true testamonyal download this ( http://www.tommyrhea.com/videoclips.htm ) "first vid " watch for the grizz's and think what your going to be doing !!! hope this helps

i have both in my garage
both are very reliable machines that will go almost anywhere
i would choose the grizz for work and if you want to pop wheelies
i would choose the kodiak for more moderate riding
IMO either machine is good in mud, even with big tires

rockroller- some of your questions were a little weird, but they should provide important answers-and dont knock on bamaquad for thinking that your questions were dumb-grow up man!

here are the answers to your questions
one bike
17 and 16 and we live with our parents
never had our own but have rode one quite a lot
riding trails around hunting or scouting or making our own
thinking about going with 26" tires but I was wondering how they would do on a kodiak also a KNN air filter
thanks for the input

If youre looking to get aggressive tread on those 26" tires...you might think grizz. The big heavy tires, with big lugs really zap the hp.

hey elkhuntin,

i got the 26" deep lugs, mudlites big wheel kits on the kodiak's little brother the 350 bruin. although some people say loads of difference on hp and speed. i'm going to argue the matter. my 350 shows very little difference manly in top speed lost 4mph. but other then that no problems. i have a revers gov. bypass on it, with gov on the bike can't pull itself out of mud but flip it on wow it slings it out fast. also sence your going with the itp 27" is the way to go if you go grizz., kodiak go 26". and here is y i would still tell you to spend more now and get the grizz. download this http://www.tommyrhea.com/videoclips.htm
first file it's pritty big so it will take bout 5 min. to DL.

now wether you go kodi or grizz these dudes will help you great prices !! wheels, tires, caps, nuts, beeded on, 2/ 3 day shipping to my place! west virginia

hope this helps Jr.

rockroller, i meant grow up after you started dissing bamaquad

back to the question
i would say the 450 is fine- it can handle larger tires and do what you will use it for- why spend the extra $?
as for that video- its real cool- but i have a feeling you wont be doing this too much with your quad
good luck
