What to get when it comes down to MX or whatever event
#1
Hello,
Got a delima going on over here, Started Out like the average family figure hey what the heck lets get some quads, nothing fancy my daughters rolling around on a raptor 80cc, son has a polaris phoenix, and myself a kfx400. The problem im running into is with the son, The polaris is two bulky to jump & race(to slow of bike being auto), and he cant add the parts he wants because they dont make anything for that bike. So now he is wanting to race MX or what ever ( he is turning 14 ) I have a account open with Polaris, Kawasaki, and Yamaha being there the same dealer out here, unfortunally the wife is giving me a low budget to work with, around 3000-3500. My thoughts were with the blaster, its 200 cc but a two stroke, ( dont know much about there performance) and would fall within the price range. Parts can be bought for this bike from suspension to engine performance,so Sounds like a good deal. Is there something else i could lean toward thats a 4 stroke model but haves alot of upgradable parts. Any help would be appreciative..
Thanks
Ron

The Blaster is great if you're in that price range. And if you can pay cash for a used one you can get some that are insanely modded for a few hundred bucks than it will cost you for a new one. Used wuold probably be the way to go with a Blaster. Plus they have made them forever (since 87) to the aftermarket for them is HUGE.
