what the hell is the issue w/ my TB i got the rcr kit installed and just today i get beat by a phoenix!! any ideas on why my TB was so slugish off the line and why i could not catch up on top end? any quick fixs(hop ups) or n e thing would help me out thanks!!

 

Your kidding right? Stock for stock a TB will spank a Phoenix. What pipe and clutch setup do you have?

 

the midrange with the black(plain spring) and no i am not kidding!! it was a drag race down the road so theres no operator error

 

Did you install the kit yourself? Did it come with a new secondary spring?

 

was the tb warmed up??

 

yes i installed it myself and it added power the tb was running good. no i did not get a secondary spring just a primary. i have no clue why the TB would let me down like this but ill race him again today and see what happens

 

Have you taken a look at your spark plug for a reading? What all was in that kit?

 

I'm with drlang on the plug check. Any flat spots or hesitation? Sounds like it needs a little fine tuning. Every one I've heard of that put the RCR kit on loved it.

 

i love the kit but i hate being beat.....theres a huge flat spot right off the line

 

What's your needle clip set on?
