Default 400ex Swing arm

I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their swing arms cracking. I just swapped frames and while i was cleaning my swing arm i found that it was cracked right behing where the rubber chain guide bolts on. has anyone else had a problem with this. if so what did you do to fix it other than buying a new swing arm. I was wonderin if you guys thought welding it would hold? Thanks for the input.

Ive posted this before, ive welded both of my stock and my roll design and both have held up to heavy motocross up to 30 races a year so welding if its done properly should be fine

i read that 400ex's are prown to breaking stock swingers. but put it this way. i run a stock swing arm and i been flat landing at 15 feet high of air all last summer and no problums. and i drove for at least 1 hour a day hitting jumps no problums. and it was stock shocks with the rear soft as can go. so i say its good n light.
