I have a 99 400ex with the Wiseco 440 Big Bore Kit(just did back in 05), HotCams Stage 2 Cam, White Bros Pipe, Works Triple Rate front shocks, and just swaped frames to a powder coated and gusseted frame. i was wondering what some other riders would do. i like my quad a lot. but as the frame swapping went on, i noticed that my swing arm is cracked, and the front plastic is cracked as well. with the frame swap i also bought new sprockets and a chain, the rest of the bearings in the quad are good, the axle bearing got replaced about 3 years ago.i know the plasic is not a big deal can be replaced fairly cheap. would you guys keep the 400 and just put a new swing arm on the quad. or sell it and buy a new one. i don't really ride all that much anymore, other than a week out of the year where we go to silver lake sand dunes. other than that the quad gets rode maybe 50 hours a year. thanks for the input.

If you don't ride a whole lot then I'd just stick with what you got, unless you really enjoy the little riding you do and have the extra cash to spend without hurting yourself financially.

I agree, those problems can be fixed for a lot less than a new quad. For the amount you ride
buying a new one would not be cost effective.i use to own a 400ex too, gotta love em!

I would deff put a swingarm on it for the riding that you do. Put a houser swing arm on it And 440's rip, 3 of my friends all have 440's and they are fun as hell! It's a good machine.
