it depends on what you are talking about.

didn't say what quad you had..

normally you need to replace the header and silencer

Get either a ct racing exhaust or a sparks racing exhaust. They are the best on the market a hell of alot better than WB! I have a CT on my raptor and it absolutely kicks a$$! www.ctracing.com www.sparksracing.com

RaptorRules...what exactly makes a CT or a Sparks better than WB? I've got a WB R4 and it's a straight through pipe with little to no restriction. How much hp are you gaining with your pipe? I'm not trying to uphold WB but from what I read, you're not going to gain more than 1-2 ponies with any pipe with everything else being stock on a 4 stroke. I'm sure you were kicking butt (drag racing) without your pipe.

'99 440 11:1 JE, ported, hardened rockers, K&N, XR250 cdi, Race cam, Dyno-Jet, K&N and a WB R-4.

'97 400L Sport .02 Weisco, ported, lightened flywheel, Delta V-Force, clutch kit and a DG pipe.

300exPaul
Where we can find a WB Pro-Meg Slip-on Exhaust for a 400EX, they only have a S-bend Silencer, and the Pro-meg Silencer only came as complete system.

Scott,
Take some advise from your ole riding buddy! First off, don't waste any time buying a slip-on now when you'll regret it later. Spend some of that pergo money on a full system! The number one system on the market is the dmc duel. Runner up to that is the Pro-Meg system from WB. I've ridden these two plus the big gun system and purchased the pro-meg for mine. Two close friends of mine own the dmc and big gun systems and comparing all three...the dmc is the sweetest. You won't have a problem in the forests with any of these. The noise level will compare to Lucis' pipe. Yes, you'll have to rejet...do it the old fashion way, not a kit. Match the airflow up with a new k and n filter. With the kind of riders that your haning with, a slip on just ain't gonna do it. Plus you'll unleash hidden power that's waiting for you in that motor! Stainless looks good with canary yellow!

Dident dirtwheels have a article in it a couple of months ago or so that said, a full exhaust for a stock 400ex was not necessary. That a slip on was plenty. I may be mistaken but I thaught I read something like that.
