Default Adopted a 97 Sportsman 500: Questions

I justed adopted a 97 sportsmans 500 that use to be my dad's. He didn't ride it much and it has less than 100 miles on it. I'm doing fluid changes and the manual is throwing me for a loop. 1.) It says the front gearcase has a dip stick at the end of the fill plug. Mine doesn't. So how do I check the lube level? 2.) I can't find the drain for the transmission. Is it the bolt on the direct bottom of the tranny that you access through the frame? Manual says bottom right but I can't find it there. Last one. I'm getting a high pitch squeak from the right front wheel with and without the brake engaged. Is thos brake drag or should I be doing something about the hubs. Many Many Thanks!!!

fill the front till it runs out the fill hole,I would change it, it takes polaris front gear drive fluid. The drain for the tranny is the plug on the bottom, take off the skid plate, it takes polaris AGL tranny fluid, and has a magnet on it so clean it well before you put it back. Take the right wheel off and check the brake pads it maybe just be dust from sitting ,I would drain all the gas out and put fresh in. You could change the hub oil too they take polaris hub fluid.Sounds like a good bike , let me know if you want to sell it.
