Default accidents

theres been a few accidents with atv's in my area in the last couple of weeks.

One, two guys riding at night without lights on rail road tracks hit each other. One died.

A pre teen boy (I think he was 12) was riding along the road in the ditch and pulled in front of a car and was t boned. He died.

then a dad was riding his utility around his property and hit his 2 year old son. The toddler died.

My point is lets be safe out there. Use common sense. And teach our kids proper safety.

I dont want to spread bad news just want to make sure that everyone is informed that this **** is close to home.

Last year, in my hometown, a 13 year old boy was killed on a Raptor. He and another young boy that I know were riding on a gravel road. One boy was on a Raptor, the other on a Kodiak 400. The story is, they were going about 35 on a gravel road, and they came up behind a car that was going around 20. The boy on the Raptor gunned it and passed the car. Well, he lost control of the rear end of the machine and it started fishtailing out of control. He shot off of the road, was thrown off of the quad, he hit a tree, the quad was flipping close behind him. The handlebar of the quad smashed his head against the tree and killed him. The investigators of the crash stated that he most likely would have survived had he been wearing a helmet. The actual cause of death was the brake (or clutch, can't remember) lever going into his head. Very tragic. I also personally think that 13 is too young to be riding a Raptor. The parents should have known better. They bought the raptor for him for Christmas. The boy that was with him, (whom I know very well) has not been the same since. He also has not ridden an atv since.
