have a few questions for someone knowlegeable with this engine.
1. is there some other cam I can run in this engine to give it some more power? if so, what is it? no I'm not looking to spend 100+ on a cam from a performance shop..I was hoping an oem honda cam.

2. is there any easy way to run this with a manual clutch setup?

3. will a 300ex carb bolt up to this motor without major fabrication?

4. what is the max bore this engine will take?

this is sort of a small project I am doing for a trail rider..but I want a lil more juice out of the motor so it doesn't seem like a total dog compared to my R

thanks

I believe the cylinder design is similar to the ATC350X and FourTrax 250X. Try looking into those cams for better performance. Don't even bother with the manual clutch conversion. You're talking major work and bucks if it can even be done to this motor. I would try a good priced proven pipe like DG or SuperTrapp.

the 250SX is only a 2 valve motor, so the cams you mentioned will not work.
