yfz450 vs kfx700 in a drag race

yfz450 vs kfx700 in a drag race
has anybody raced one. which quad will win in a drag race short distance and which will win in a long distance. my friend want to race me with his kfx700. Bolth are stock. I have an 05 yfz.

Last year my son had a YFZ 450 and I had a KFX 700. The YFZ had an HMF pipe, open airbox, K&N filter, and rejetting. The KFX 700 had a Muzzy pipe, open airbox, K&N filter, rejetting, and clutch mods. At races 300 feet or less they were too close to call, with whoever got the better start winning the race. The auto tranny KFX was easier to launch consistently though.
If the race was over 300 feet the YFZ would win every time. And if the race were uphill the YFZ would win every time, by a huge margin.

ha ha, not to be rude, but I guess it depends on who is riding the yfz and kfx. The yfz should have no problem handing a kfx its a$$. Ride your yfz like it was intended, and your buddy is going to be eating your dust for sure!

They also weight in at an astonomical amount, and every shootout I have ever seen it in, it gets it butt kicked by everything from a pred 500, to a ds 650, to a raptor 660.
Sue, mod the heck out of it.....then just through a pipe on the yfz, and its again going to get its butt kicked! Im sorry, I have seen those things in action (or lack there of) and they look like a 4x4 lawn tractor. They weigh as much as one too, and have the engine to boot! At no time did I ever think that, that thing was fast. It wouldnt even get up half the hill climbs that peope on raptors and yfzs where not even blinking an eye at. Effortless!

Im not looking for a (insert quad here) vs. YFZ p*ssing match, Im just saying a lot of quads get underestimated. Sure the KFX is heavy (to heavy for me), but you have two big cylinders pumping, it will run without "modding the heck out of it".

Thats fine, and its just my opinion. I am sure its half way ok, but not fast in my book. The banshee is a twin too.....look at the difference!

Wow boom. I musta rode some one of a kind stock KFX700's cuz i sure had no problem hill climbing on them and rippin thru the woods. and we live in the same area. they may not be rockets but they are good quads and you could mod one make the average moded yfz look pretty silly for lining up in a drag.
