question about warriors

Default question about warriors

i have an 87 warrior, and theres that thing on the handle bars on the clutch sude that like, locks something in place....is that the park brake or some other thing?

Yeah, that's the PB. It's pretty rare for those to work and they are the cause of several different problems, most guys just strip the whole system off, get an aftermarket clutch perch, and get a blockoff plate for the rear caliper. I have a picture of my new clutch lever and perch in the link below, it looks and works a lot better than the stock one.

thanks, i thought it was the park brake, but since this bikes been on the lift since i got it, i havent gotten a chance to figure much out...i like that set up on ur warrior, recon, thats pritty sweet. what did the whole thing cost you?

The clutch perch and pb blockoff plate would be about $45 new for the ones I have. I just saw an ad yesterday for goldenwest cycle's kit that has the blockoff and a new clutch perch and lever for $30, the only difference is it's just not as fancy as mine with the quick adjust, carbon fiber look, and machined logo in the pb blockoff plate.
