I would like to hear your thoughts on the pipe and how it compares to other pipes you have used on a DS.

 

Top Gun or Big Gun?

 

I have a Top Gun. I love it. It isn't very loud with the 12 disc end and it has similar bottom end as did my Yosh but more midrange and top end. I noticed a difference right away. It looks fantastic. The guys that know racing see it and immediately know it is a purpose built piece of hardware.

I remember some recently, but they usually do other things along with it so its hard to extract the difference
between the exhaust and a complete stage one upgrade, for example. If you search, there will be at least 3 lately.

 

 

I just tried my Top Gun pipe out for the first time yesterday at the dunes and it impressed me.I also just installed a Lectron 46 hv and a ported intake so it was hard to tell just where the most gains came from but it was apparent right away that the Top Gun has good power delivery from bottom to top.I have used a HPR billet end cap with my stock carb and intake and it also builds great power but the Top Gun seems to let my Baja rev quicker and reach max RPM easier.In my opinion the Top Gun builds most of its power in the midrange but for my riding which is strictly sand dunes that is a good thing.

 

I like my Top Gun pipe more than the billet end cap, HMF & Big Gun. I already sold the HMF to a forum member. I won't sell the end cap but when I get done rebuilding the big gun pipe it's out of here. The Top Gun is quiter than the other three & it pulls hard from bottom to top on my stock bike. I bought another one (Top Gun) for the stage three bike but have not had a chance to try it out yet.

 

I have Top Gun. Sad to admit now, used to be a great movie till Tom went all wierd and everything. Course if I was used to pounding Nichole and she dumped me I would probably go a bit wierd as well. Just MHO. I think its probably still worth buying tho.
