Air box mod for eaton 90 ?
#1
Are there any air box mods for the eaton 90, 05'? The air box has been a very big problem since we bought this quad. The location of the air box is probably the worst design i have ever seen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your Eton 90 Air Box has the same factory design of a Polaris 90, then I would also agree. The factory air box design is the worst design I've seen as well.
If mud / crud is getting into the factory air box, apply clear silicone around its overlapping edges. This helps stop water from entering into the air box. Cheap low cost fix that "might" help your situation.
Another trick is to remove the factory air box and install a Unifilter or K&N filter (with their respective outerware) under the front hood. For extra protection, oil down an old sock and slip it over the filter's outerware. Thus, double outerware protection. Run a flex hose from the carb to the newly positioned air filter. For a picture I like, surf: - Press Here -
Note: If you remove the factory air box and replace with a different air filter system (like the one above), you'll need to reject the Main Jet in the carb. The size of Main jet depends on the type of air filter you use, the size / wind drag of the flex hose and if you use an extra oiled down sock.
If one of the dealers on this forum have such a bolt on system, please advise. I've yet to find a bolt on system that fits under the front hood area.
Hope this helps....
