hey i might be goin to look at a banshee on saturday..supposivly its been sitting for 2 years and hasnt been started and now it will not start. What should i look for? i dont want to buy it then have to do a rebuild. thanks for the help

 

i would check the frame for rust and bends. make sure nothing is loose (wheel bearings, axle bearings) things like that. you should aslo find out WHY its been sitting for 2 years with out anyone wanting to start it? could mean something is really wrong with it beyond ur regular fluid change and carb cleaning. what year is it and how much are they asking?

also, give it a few kicks and see how it feels...see if its got any compression...check for bad noises while kicking

 

its a 2001 i can prob get it for around 1700

 

actually i coudl prob get it arond 2000 is more reasonable...but im gonna go see wat it looks like the guy says its in real good condition it just dont start. it has exhause, filter, reeds, amd maxxis razr's. i kinda in a way dont want to start it while im there cuz then teh guy might be like well now that it starts its gonna be about 3000 but i was thinkin of tryin to jump start it

 

if it has compression then its definitly worth buying at that price.
