Default Champion winch on a eiger

Bought a 3000lb champion winch last week at costco for $59.95 Canadian and just picked up my mounting bracket yesterday from Motovan. Bolted everything up last night in about 30 minutes, except wiring which needs to be tucked away neatly. Winch mounted perfect, no drilling of holes.

Sounds like you got a bargain on your winch I got the 2000 lb champion on my Eiger for Christmas (wanted the superwinch but the wife meant well) cost $80.00 american. I just hope it holds up, I haven't heard how reliable or durable they are but I guess I'll find out.

I have used my 2000 lb. Champion for well over a year w/o trouble and I know of 5 of them working fine. Buddy goes hunting and he pulls everrything from other quads to moose with his and it's just fine.
Make sure the winch drum isn't loaded up when you pull the release **** though. Buddy foolishly tried to force his out under load. It still works but it slides back and forth 1/4 " now. What do you expect?
