I"m looking at a used KingQuad 05, and it is out of factory warranty. The dealer will sell me their (made it sound like it's local) warranty for 3 yrs for $1185. WHAT???? I hear those are almost entirely profit for the dealer. They are not acting like they would budge on this price or the 3 yr contract.... but I haven't put the screws to them yet.

So, what would you do? how much would be a reasonable offer for the warranty? I really don't want to buy a used quad without some kind of warranty. Thanks!

 

wow that is a lot of dough for a warranty, i got the dealer's warranty on my 06 eiger for about $650 and its 3.5. when i even mentioned i wanted the warranty they offered to bump me up to an 06 (i was looking at an 05) for only $100. i think they're trying to get one by you dude.

 

My warrenty for 4 years total was just under $500. Sounds like a screw job to me!!!!

 

Mine was for an extra 42 months to make a total of four years. It was $400 from Ebay. i can send you the place if interested.

usually OEMs will offer you an extended warranty within a certain amout of time from original purchase. not all offer it to the second purchaser, but they might. call suzuki and ask them. the quad isnt that old - they may sell it directly to you.


the dealers price of $1185 is a total rip off. thats usually what an extended car warranty costs.

honda gave me about 6 months to decide if i wanted their 3+yr extended for about 500. i got it directly from them-just called them up and did everything over the phone. never used it and some say its a ripoff to even get one but you are spending 5-6-7k on a bike, why not get it?

call suzuki though and ask them...

 

I bought my extended 4 yr warranty from dealer for 325.00. You just have to talk them down.

 

You must buy the warranty before the six month warranty is over on your bike. Make sure it is the Suzuki warranty and not a want-to-be.
