JETMOTO 125CC KAZUMA 90CC MINI FALCON
#1
Does anyone have any experience with the Jetmoto 125cc quad from Raceway? It looks pretty tough so I just purchased one waiting for delivery and was just wondering what to expect. This is a new quad for my ten year old so if anyone has any suggestions or experience with this quad I would love to hear. Also I just bought a 90cc Kazuma for my 6 year old, both from raceway and so far so good they were really good over the phone to answer all my questions with no pressure of getting me off of the phone. Any tips on either of these quads, I was thinking about getting the wheel spacers for the mini falcon but I'll wait to get it and assembled to see if I still want to get them.

Thanks for the welcome and I'll also check out Jamez post as well,
I actually have been using this site for pros and cons of chinese quads which actually led me to buy from Racewayatv.com. I have heard nothing but great things about this dealer and of John and when I called I actually got to talk to John right away. He answered all my questions about warranty information and many other novice offbrand questions I had. I bought the two quads the next day and expect to get them anyday now. I will post everything I can about these two quads as I get them and assemble and ride them. I actually have a Z400 2005 Suzuki quad and a YZF450 dirtbike for my wife and I and decided to try some aftermarkets for the boys.

There are alot of things you will definitely want to do with the 90. I bought one for my son for Christmas. Here is a LINK to some things to read on. I did purchase the wheel spacers off ebay. I purchased two sets, front and rear. I am EXTREMELY happy with them. I would not even ride the quad without them to be honest. Another thing you really want to check carefully for is with the front steering. Find some soft stuff, sand, wet dirt, something of this nature. When your child turns in this stuff, the front tires could lock to one side or the other. You will have to physically force them unstuck. Look in my photo album for some pictures of this. If yours does this, please dont let him/her ride it. It needs to be fixed and fixed immediately. We were extremely lucky when this caused my son to roll his quad as he escaped without a scratch. He was going full speed into a turn and the front locked pitching him and the quad. Raceway and Kazuma have no fix for this as it appears to not be the case with all of these. My sons did this nonstop, others did not. I had rebent the steering stops in a fashion I thought they would fix the problem, but they are very weak and bend back easily. They do not do their job. I took the quad into the garage and ripped the whole front end off to start from scratch. Took me a little while but I came up with a solution that cures the problem 100%. I cannot stress enough how important this is, hopefully yours will work just fine, mine did not. Another thing that was important to me was the ball joints. The left side was extremely loose, to the point where it could have easily fallen off. For sure follow the setup guides on here that state to go over every nut and bolt to tighten and use loc-tite. The suspension is terrible as on all these style quads. I have a lead on some aftermarket ones that will not break that bank. I will post the results with these as soon as we get a chance to test them out. Also depending on how big your child is and whether or not they will be wearing motocross style boots, make sure their foot will actually fit in the basket with enough room to operate the brake. My son wears a size 1 and had to take his foot out of the basket(off the peg) and manipulate it back in at an angle, just to operate the footbrake. My front rims were not drilled correctly so they did not fit over the studs. I had to redrill them oversized. Hope I covered some of it, send me a message if you want to talk more about it.

Corey,
Thanks for the heads up on the 90 and will totally go through the quad with a fine tooth comb. I will make sure to check everything you responded with and will ask more questions once I actually get the quad. I figure they'll get here in a week or so depending so I have some time to read up on some things to look for. I plan on giving myself an additional week to put the quads together the right way before I let my boyz get on them, and of course I will test ride them....for safety reasons!!! What kinda luck have you had with the 90 minus the front end so far? I am getting the spacers right now. How long have you had the quad and do you think it's worth the money?

Overall Im happy with this quad. I think its definitely worth the money if you are willing to put in the time to make it something you are comfortable with. I guess that is the best way for me to describe this quad. For alot more money you get a 100% ridable, safe quad. With this one, I feel you get about an 85% ridable, safe quad. I was willing to provide the extra 15% to make it safe as well as ridable, some parents are either not able, nor do they want to. The suspension on these is terrible as is all of the minis. You will find that out as soon as you get on it. I weigh 175 lbs and the rear suspension seems to be able to work for me, it doesnt even budge with my son on it. I did ALOT of research to find some different shocks that would not break the bank. I found some that are also out of china, but a whole lot cheaper than works/elkas/etc. I will keep you posted when I actually get to test them out.
I really like the fact that this is a 4 stroke machine. I also really liked the fact that it has front and rear disc brakes. The brake pedal design is garbage and actually dangerous if your child will be wearing boots. I had to also take off the heel guards as well as the toe guards and am in the process of fabricating up some nerf bars that make this usable.
After all is said and done , I should have a prototype set of aluminum nerf bars, a bolt on new rear brake pedal, a bolt on fix for the dangerous front end, and some affordable shocks.
If I had to do it all over again, I would have probably purchased a different 50cc machine for my son. I bought this 90cc because its the same size as other 50cc machines, and I could govern how fast he could go. I removed the governer completely after the first day and its plenty fast. I also wanted him to be able to race, which he cannot on this machine as he is just turning 6.
If I had more money than time, I would purchase one of the new 4 stroke E-Tons. That is not something I have, nor did I want to as a first quad that he may not enjoy. Therefore, this machine fit the bill.
Hope this helps

I just bougth wheel spacers for the front and rear for the 90cc quad to make it more stable. I just called www.racewayatv.com and it's already in the next city, now that's some fast shipping although it's scheduled to be here in a day or two, so I'll keep you posted when it actually arrives to my door. I also want to say that everytime I have called RACEWAYATV.COM whether I spoke with John or one of the others I have yet to wait on the phone to be helped and I have gotten the information within minutes on my tracking information. I have never delt with this company before but I am totally impressed with the customer service so far. As for the quads I will keep posting updates when I get the quads here at my house.
Corey,
I am totally ready to spend the time and additional money to make these quads 100 percent and thank you for your input on the 90. That will be one of the first things I look at when I get the quad here along with installing the spacers and loctite everything on both quads.
