I dutifully read my owner's manual today and when I got to page 139 (I think) and the warranty legalese, it looks to me like the warranty is 6 months for 'ATVs sold for recreational use.' Is that right? What happened to two years? The supposed two year warranty wasn't the deciding factor in my purchasing decision, but it was a factor. Am I missing something?

 

The sales contract gives you the extra warranty. Standard is 6 months, but competition is heavy right now and the sales contract is the final word, not the owners manual. You have a two year warranty, because all the new machines do.

2 - 3, whatever they offer this year. The sales contract specs what your warranty is, not the owners manual.

 

I guess I am going to have to call the dealer tomorrow. My sales contract doesn't specify a period, it just says "New factory warranty."

 

You should have received an Arctic Cat card (credit card size) from Cat Care Customer Service. If not Call 1-877-228-2687. It’s my understanding 2 years $50.00 deductible is standard for all Cat purchased after 2005.

I did not receive my card until after my 6 month bumper to bumper factory warrentee had ran out. Then I got the card from Cat Care in the mail. After the six months it is $50.00 deductable for the term at the time of sale. Mine was 3 years.

 

OK, I guess I'll have to wait. I just picked it up this past Saturday, so the cat Care card is probably several months away. Thanks for all the replies.

 

As of just now when I checked the cat site. Its 2 year warranty and 300$ cat cash.

 

Cat keeps changing there war. On the 05 it was full 2 years. No deductable. At the start of 06 model it was 6 + 30 for a full 36 month and 30 being $50 ded. Then they went to 6+18. Then I heard they went back to 36???????

If you go to the AC chat forum I just posted a copy of the war for the 30 month extension that they sent me last week. I bought mine about September 12 of 05
