Guidance on new utility 4x4
#1
This question has probably been posted more than anything else but here we go. This is my first post and I do value all of your opinions. I have read all the mag tests and have spoken to friends that own atv's and I just got back from riding a Honda Rancher 400 AT. Nice machine but lacks power and the brakes were horrible. Anyway I talked the wife into letting me finally buy my own and am looking at these three. Honda Rincon, Suzuki KQ and Suzuki Vinson. 90 % of the time will be spent trail riding with some hill climbing. First which do you recommend? I am 6'2 260 lbs. I live in southwestern PA and which ever you recommend I would like to know which dealers around here are giving the best deals. I have seen some advertising for Ohio dealers that deal but nothing for PA dealers. I have been online for the past week and all the information is starting to overload my brain. I will be going out and test riding tomorrow and would like to narrow down so I am not running all over the place to hit every make and model. I would like to narrow down to spend time wisely. Your help is appreciated. Thanks. And thanks for all the information I have already gotten on the forum just browsing around.

based on your usage description i would not rule out some of the remaining 400 class choices[most notably AC's and suzukis, their 400cc machines would i think provide plenty of power for your weight and if you shop around you could be spending considerably less cash, i did....

Agreed. You would probably like the ground clearance and true front and rear irs on the cats, plus the unlimited possible attatchments for the SpeedRack system. But i also own one, so i might be a little bias!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I brought home my new KQ about an hour ago. Couldn't pass up the deal. 6350.00 for 05 leftover. Red with Kimpex front bumper. Will ride this weekend and tell you how much I love it.

Cernics Suzuki, Johnstown, PA is selling the new 2006 Suzuki Eiger for $4399, and the 2006 King Quad 700, Camo for $6699, their number is 814-539-4114, if you like Yamaha, Track-N-Trail in State College PA is selling the new 2006 Yamaha Grizzly 660 for $6299 their number is 814-237-2581, I would call them and ask them to send or fax you a quote and take that to your local dealer, if not, maybe the 2 hour road trip to central PA might be worth it.
