2 cycle oil

If it's good enough to protect a quad worth thousands of dollars. Then most likely it will provide adequate protection for a $75 dollar weed trimmer or leaf blower.

Yesterday was a really nice sunny/warm day, so I got out in the garage and changed spark plugs and such in my lawn equipment. In the process of doing this I noticed something that I've never noticed. My weed wacker is a 32/1 oil/gas mixture and my leafblower is a 40/1 oil/gas mixture. All these years I've been buying just a small 4 ounce thing of oil and mixing with a gallon of gas and using that same mixture for both. So what I did was to get 2 gas containers and mix 1 for the blower and 1 for the weed wacker at correct levels of oil gas. If anyone doesnt know already
32/1 = 4 ounces oil to 1 gallon of gas.
40/1 = 3.2 ounces oil to 1 gallon of gas.
I'm using my Polaris oil that I've got a gallon of. That should last me several years of use in my lawn equipment. Thanks.

The 32/1 mix would be a little rich for the leafblower but would do no damage. It may make the plug foul a little sooner but I really doubt it. If you are running a two cycle really hard a little extra lube is, in my opinion at least, a good idea.

It is pre mix. I got me another small gas can, now one with the 32/1 and the other with the 40/1. For a couple of bucks I can use the right mix. So I figure why not. My weed wacker was always hard to start last year and want to cut out on me. I was using the 40/1 mix on it. I'm sure with less oil and more gas in the mix it will perk right up.

Used more gas trimmers than I care to admit. They were all the same. Just make sure you prime it good and tight...that's the whole key.....then choke it. Should fire right up. I like using Stabil too. I really think it helps.
If it cut's out, it may be the plug or fuel (unless it's only until it warms up).
