Default Carb Troubles

I have a honda trx 300 4x4. I just bought it from a guy and found out shortly after it has problems ideling I think. I found you have to give it half-full choke to keep it running. Giving it no choke will make it stall. Is this normal or do I have to adjust my carb.

Default Carb Troubles

It could be an air leak, around the carb to intake or intake to head . Could be bad gas, could be mixture screw too lean, or could be a dirty carb (inside of the carb, that is).

Default Carb Troubles

ran into a lot of this with a honda 250x(same carb)come to find out the proble, was in the valves and in a very loose cam chain.Learned quick that carbs do get dirty and out of adjustment, but most of the time it will lie in the valves or cam chain.
