Default 660 VALVE ADJUSTMENT

I think you may be looking for the YAMAHA forum, but I would probably get the valves adjusted. You didn't mention if this is the "first" 20 hours of ride time, but after everything breaks in it wouldn't be a bad idea. I do not own a yamajunk so I do not know the valvetrain. As far as an oil change, personally I change my oil every 10 hours. As far as the pros and cons of the valve adjustment, basically the longetivity of your valvetrain will decrease if you do not adjust the valves at the recommended intervals. You don't ride a BOMB, so I would probably keep up on my maintenance. As far as the oil change, if you plan on keeping your quad running good and strong for years to come, changing the oil is THE most crucial part. Hope that helps. I just have to give you a hard time because you don't ride a Bombardier!

HEY BOMBER, I WAS THINKING , I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE ATV BOMBARDIER, BUT I HAD A 72 MONTESA 250 STREET AND TRAIL BIKE, IT HAD A BOMBARDIER ENGINE. I TELL YA WHAT THAT WAS ONE GREAT RUNNING ENGINE, THE REST OF THE BIKE SUCKED BUT THAT ENGINE STUCK WITH MY YZ 250 PRETTY GOOD. THERE IS A BOMBARDIER DEALER HERE IN MY TOWN, I WASN'T REALLY IMPRESSED WHEN LOOKING AT THE QUADS, BUT I DO KNOW THAT BOMBARDIER BUILDS A GOOD ENGINE.THE MACHINING IS SO GOOD THEY DIDN'T HAVE GASKETS ON HALF OF IT.HOPE THEY KEPT THIER QUALITY AND WORKMANSHIP. OH AND YES I SLEEP LIKE A BEAR. LOL

I'll tell you what, in my opinion you cannot beat the precision and quality of a rotax engine which is what Bombardier uses. You mentioned you have a Bombardier dealer in town, did you check out the BRP Outlander 800? The quad is built as well as the engine. If you have not looked at it you should and if you did, look at it again without a bias state of mind. By the way what do you call a Yamaha rider for short?..........................just plain dumb! Just kiddin' bud, you should check out the 800 like I said. The rear suspension is fenominal and the amount of power is incredible. Let me know what you think after a glance..........
